I am all about women empowerment books that do not overpower the reader and this is one.  I Have two girls and this is a great guide, actually GUIDE I would recommend to any mother wanting to grow up wonderful , strong girls! I enjoyed this so much! Thanks to the publisher I got a copy to review.

Technabob

This year I have started on a new adventure.  I started new classes at the local college. I am going into the education program to be an English teacher.

I am already teaching at the local college. I love teaching computers there. I love all the students and I love the atmosphere. Although there comes a time in your life, when you want to do what you love. I want to do what I have yearned to do since I was 4 years old. I want to be a High School teacher. Odd I know.

I have had some inspiration that led me to this. You see, I was on the way of my my thesis for my Master’s program . My case study was on how to get middle school aged boys on how to read. I had experienced this on a personal level myself, because I had one HELL of a time to try to get my son reading.  Thanks to J.K. Rowling, the public library  Harry Potter became a movie and I told my son if he read the books, then I would take him to the movies!

Another inspiration was my health. I spent almost a year in pain and in that year I made some enemies. Pain makes you do things normally you would not do. It also makes you realize life is very short. I was diagnosed with Degenerative Disc Disease, Arthritis and found out I have sacralization of both lumbar in my lower back. No Surgery could help. Both of my bottom lumbar will be tapping my tailbone for the rest of my life.  I was in so much pain , I could not walk. I laid in the bed and was about to give up on life. I did not think I was ever going to hold my 9 month old daughter again . I cried because I thought I was going to be a health burden on my husband.

I found a back surgeon specialist and after several trips, I got a cortisone shot in my back. So far it has helped and I have not had any episodes of not being able to walk. (praying still)

At that moment I quit my Master’s courses and decided to teach what I have always wanted to teach.  Literature and Grammar.  I wanted to make a difference in the younger generation and try to help them love it as much as I do.

This semester with my college classes, more classes than usual have taken. It means that I have been super busy and I barely even have time for my family. Every spare time I  get is spent with my family.

I hope this year leaves me pain free…
